Proof of Address Verification Process
As a regulated financial services company, Plasbit is required to keep customer information up to date in order to remain compliant with legal and regulatory standards. If you wish to complete full verification of your account, you’ll need to provide a valid document that confirms your residential address. Below, you’ll find a list of accepted documents, guidelines to help avoid delays, and the supported languages for documents that our system can process.
Accepted Proof of Address Documents:
For proof of residential address, we accept one of the following documents issued within the last 6 months and clearly showing your full name and current address:
• Utility Bills linked to the property: Electricity, water, gas, internet, cable TV bills (excluding satellite TV companies).
• Landline Telephone Bill.
• Bank Statements: Must include the customer's name, address, and recent activity for at least one month.
• Credit card statements issued by a Bank Must include the customer's name, address, and recent activity for at least one month.
• Government-Issued Documents: Official government correspondence, such as tax return documents, notices, or Certificates of residence issued by the government.
• Local Authority Tax Bills: Property tax bills or municipal taxes.
• Residential Certificate: Issued by a government body to certify your residence.
• Letter from a recognized public authority or public servant: any government-issued correspondence not older than three months.
• Passport / Identity card/ Driving license (Containing Address) : Note: The same document cannot be used to verify both your identity and your address.
If you use an ID document for PoA, you must submit a different document for identity verification.
• Mortgage Statement.
Tips to Help You Get Verified Without Delays:
Follow these simple tips to avoid delays or rejection during the verification process:
• Expired Documents older than three months.
• Full Address: The document must clearly show your full name and complete address, including street name, city, and postal code.
• Recently Issued: The document must have been issued within the last three months.
• Original and Unaltered: The document must be an original or a certified true copy, with no edits or digital alterations.
• Readability: The document must be clear and easy to read without any blurriness.
• Complete Document: The document should display all four corners, with no part cropped out.
• File Format: Please submit the document as an original PDF file. If you are submitting a scanned copy, ensure it is high‑resolution.
• No Watermarks or Additional Notes: The document should be free of any additional markings, watermarks, or notes added after issuance.
Documents That Are Not Accepted as Proof of Address:
Please note that we do not accept the following types of documents for address verification:
• Expired Documents older than three months.
• P.O. Box Addresses.
• Non‑Original Copies.
• Handwritten Documents.
• Non‑English or Non‑Local Language Documents.
• Mobile Phone Bills.
• Lease or Rental Agreements.
• Pension statements.
• Insurance policies.
• Medical bills.
• Receipts for purchases.
Supported Languages:
We support the verification of documents in a wide range of languages, including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. However, specific languages are not yet supported, including:
• Arabic
• Armenian
• Bengali
• Burmese
• Dari
• Dhivehi
• Farsi
• Georgian
• Hindi
• Khmer (Cambodian)
• Kinyarwanda
• Lao
• Mongolian
• Nepali
• Sinhalese
• Urdu
If your proof of address document is in a language that is not supported, you may provide a notarized translation.
